FIBRIM - PP FS 150
Product Description
Fibrim - PP FS 150 is a monofilament polypropylene fiber designed to minimize plastic shrinkage cracking in concrete and other cementitious materials. The fibers reduce the risk of early-age cracking, maintaining the integrity of concrete surfaces during the critical curing phase. These fibers are ideal for slabs, pavements, overlays, precast elements, and shotcrete. Their ease of mixing and uniform dispersion makes them a practical choice for industrial, commercial, and residential applications, ensuring consistent performance tailored to your project's needs.
USES
Fibrim - PP FS 150 creates a uniform, multidirectional fiber network within concrete, improving strength, crack resistance, and preventing shrinkage issues. It doesn’t absorb moisture or alter the curing process, making it suitable for a wide range of applications where durability and crack control are needed.
Typical applications include the following:
Slabs-on-grade, Footings, & Foundations
Sidewalks, Driveways, & Parking lots
Footings, foundations, and walls
Precast and prestressed concrete
Overlays & Surface treatments
Shotcrete
Stucco
Roads, pavements, and bridge decks
slope paving
Spalling control and fire protection
Composite steel decks
Approvals & Standards
ASTM C1116 / C1116M (Standard Specification for Fiber-Reinforced Concrete)
ASTM D7508
EN 14889-2: 2006 Fibers for concrete - Part 2
Directions
Fibrim - PP FS 150 can be added to the concrete mix at any time before placement. However, it is recommended to add the fiber during the batching process at the concrete plant. The fibers should be mixed with the concrete for a minimum of 3 minutes at maximum mixing speed, depending on the mixer type, to ensure complete dispersion and uniformity. Other admixtures can be added regardless of the fiber addition.
