FIBRIM - PP FS 80
Product Description
Fibrim - PP FS 80 is a monofilament polypropylene fiber engineered to reduce plastic shrinkage cracking in concrete and other cementitious materials. With its smaller diameter, this fiber is ideal for enhancing crack resistance during the early curing phase, providing reliable surface integrity. Fibrim - PP FS 80 is perfect for applications such as slabs, pavements, overlays, precast elements, and shotcrete. Its easy mixing and uniform dispersion make it a versatile and efficient choice for industrial, commercial, and residential projects, offering consistent performance for a wide range of needs.
USES
Fibrim - PP FS 80 creates a uniform, multidirectional fiber network within concrete, improving crack resistance and preventing shrinkage issues. It doesn’t absorb moisture or alter the curing process, making it suitable for various applications where fine crack control is needed.
Typical applications include the following:
Slabs-on-grade, Footings, & Foundations
Sidewalks, Driveways, & Parking lots
Footings, foundations, and walls
Precast and prestressed concrete
Overlays & Surface treatments
Shotcrete
Stucco
Roads, pavements, and bridge decks
slope paving
Spalling control and fire protection
Composite steel decks
Approvals & Standards
ASTM C1116 / C1116M (Standard Specification for Fiber-Reinforced Concrete)
ASTM D7508
EN 14889-2: 2006 Fibers for concrete - Part 2
Directions
Fibrim - PP FS 80 can be added to the concrete mix at any time before placement. However, it is recommended to add the fiber during the batching process at the concrete plant. The fibers should be mixed with the concrete for a minimum of 3 minutes at maximum mixing speed, depending on the mixer type, to ensure complete dispersion and uniformity. Other admixtures can be added regardless of the fiber addition.
